Infoscitex (IST), a DCS company, has an outstanding opportunity for a Software Engineer to develop and test C# code. This is an opportunity to join a growing, cutting-edge team in creating next-generation autonomy technologies for the Department of Defense. As this Software Engineer, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop user interfaces (UIs) and support system architecture. Your work will support production of new autonomy capabilities for the US Army, and involves working with subject matter experts in Air Force operations and human factors areas to develop state-of-the-art UIs for decision aiding and vehicle control. Essential Job Functions: In this role, you could expect to: Implement autonomy-oriented graphical user interfaces for desktop and browsers applications (C#, WPF, or other technologies). Work as part of a Scrum team, helping define short-term work to meet long-term goals. Leverage best practices in the industry to ensure maximum code reusability, extensibility, and modularity. Requirements: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline and at least 8 years of related experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity category. Candidates with varying degree and experience combinations may be considered for alternative classifications). Experience programming with compiled languages such as C#, Java, and/or C++. Experience programming with interpreted languages such as Python and/or Javascript. Ability to apply technical standards, principles, theories and techniques. Creative problem-solving capabilities. Strong math and analytical skills. Ability to participate in limited short term intermittent travel. While not specific requirements, we feel an exemplary candidate would also bring: Familiarity with MVVM, SOLID principles, and Scrum. Knowledge of WPF, , Node.js, Docker, Git, NuGet, and Visual Studio.
