The Software Engineer will get to work for a Systems Integrator that specializes in automation projects for the Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage and Specialty Chemical Industries. Opportunity to design and implement Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Reporting Systems, as well as real time Control/SCADA applications. RESPONSIBILITIES:The Software Engineer will develop and communicate technical requirements in a highly collaborative environment. He/she will design and develop innovative software solutions utilized by manufacturing customers. He/she will work with a talented team and contribute to each phase of the software development life-cycle.C# and programmingNeed to know how software impacts a physical plant's control system and how it impacts hardwareGo in and support existing control systems, old control systems that need to update, very little where some plant has no controls.QUALIFICATIONS:B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field2-5+ years experience with C# or VB.NETFamiliarity with Microsoft SQL ServerExperience working in an industrial controls environmentExperienced in development and structuring of programsSignificant experience troubleshooting and resolving issuesProven communication skillsSolid technical writing skillsAbility to flourish in a team/collaborative environmentPREFERRED:Wonderware Architecture experienceMES experience#LI-CO1 ABOUT ACTALENT: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
