Senior Systems Analyst, Lawson Applications

The Senior System Analyst leads or participates in Information Systems group projects to support new and installed systems at the hospital. Provide application support to meet the requirements of assigned user departments working in conjunction with department system Owners and Super-users. Work closely with the Manager, Customer Support to assure timely response to user requests for software maintenance and enhancement. Additional responsibilities include: planning, design, testing, documentation, training, implementation, and ongoing support activities; working with functional management and staff to define problems and devise solutions; performing work-flow analysis in user areas; quality control; problem and change management. Serve as Project Manager for new systems or enhancements.

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Health Information Management or Healthcare Related Field preferred
Has more than five years of experience in systems analysis and system implementation activities, including progressively more responsible work positions.
Experience in programming and supporting minicomputer application systems is preferred.
Leadership experience in implementing major distributed processing systems and experience utilizing clinical, financial, and ancillary systems within a hospital environment.
Prepares and reviews with the Manager weekly reports of progress on assignments (plan-to-actual timeframes and expenses), service level performance, and status/performance of problem/change management activities.
Leads and/or participates in system implenmentations and manages Project Teams composed of IS Staff as well as users from the functional areas to be supported. Follow all department procedures in managing projects.
Responds to Customer Support Center requests for assistance in an appropriate manner and timeframe. Follow project request and trouble call procedures and report to the Help Desk in a timely manner when assigned calls.
Works with user departments to compose project, change, and problem request as assigned or as the need is evident. Coordinates upgrades to existing systems. Works with vendors to resolve software problems.
Moniters budget performance of assigned projects to ensure conformance to established expense targets.
Work with third party vendors with the installation and testing of hardware and software.
Provides troubleshooting of system software/hardware issues and escalates as necessary.
