The Data Specialist - Loan Acquisitions is responsible for the analysis, data exceptions, issue resolution and loan boarding of all loans acquired by Rushmore to the servicing systems.



Creates, updates and maintains tables, scripts, and data analytics tools used to accurately manage and convert data to the servicing system and Black Knight MSP

Runs scripts and programs to convert and transmit seller data to the servicing system

Reviews error reports and makes necessary corrections within data maps and scripts to prevent data issues at final conversion

Reviews data reports and exceptions, determines testing and identifies operational impacts to support the quality data conversions

Develops data validation tools and techniques to increase data quality

Extracts, manipulates, and delivers data from reports and text files

Develops desktop scripts and tools to automate data and management tasks

Troubleshoots data quality issues and inconsistencies providing recommendations, scripts and desktop solutions

Facilitates conversion-related inquiries and maintains detailed records of each conversion

Maintains department standards and meets deadlines as defined.

Ensures quality control and accuracy on all aspects of the conversion and detailed tasks as assigned

Participates in required conference calls with prior servicers, management team and internal departments to ensure a smooth conversion and transition to the servicing areas

Completes post-conversion tasks assigned to ensure that all final data clean-up and documentation have been completed and maintained

Identifies, recommends and implements data management strategies and practices to improve the overall quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the department

Performs other duties as assigned by management


Ability to work in a high volume and time sensitive environment

Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy is absolutely critical

Customer Service, team and goal oriented with a positive attitude towards work and others

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to interact with internal staff and external loan acquisition contacts

Strong organization and follow-up skills ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize workflow in a high-volume environment ability to work well independently, as well as, part of a team to achieve department/group goals

Well versed with regulatory and investor guidelines and keeps current with all Federal, State, industry specific and departmental policies

Ability to work independently with little direction

Self-motivated, organized

Works well within a team setting



High school diploma required

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Minimum 5 years of experience in mortgage acquisition/loan servicing or in a related area

Black Knight, LoanSphere Loan Boarding, and ELI experience

Experience developing scripts and tools to manage and analyze data

Experience performing data conversions

Monarch experience preferred

Knowledge of commonly used terminology, mortgage documents, concepts, practices, and procedures within the mortgage industry



Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Intermediate working knowledge of the MSP/LPS system is required

Capable in Black Knight, LoanSphere Loan Boarding, ELI

SQL experience is required

Experience with Windows-based PCs, including general office software knowledge required
