Job Description

We are currently seeking a Sr (GENBAND/A2) Voice Network Engineer to join our team located in Dallas, TX in supporting GTL enterprise nationwide. This role is responsible for providing planning, design, deployment, operations, monitoring and break-fix for enterprise voice Networks to meet current and future needs of GTLs nationwide business offices and nationwide customer locations. Role requires knowledge and or experience with premise and cloud-based networking services.

This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the country; although the DFW and Houston TX areas are preferred.


* Work closely with business partners, network planning/engineering, and VoIP vendors to
design future traditional/VoIP services
* Provide operational and implementation issue resolution within the voice network.
Provide Tier 3 team escalation and interface with vendors to resolve all VoIP related issues.
* Develop standard configurations, procedures and guidelines for selecting, installing and
deploying integrated solutions and platforms within the VoIP environment.
* Provide operation, build and/or upgrade support.
* Work on SIP routing proxies. Specifically SR3, GCS routing engine.
* Receive and apply ratesheet updates as needed.
* Maintain Quantix SBC and Genband EXPERIUS A2 deployed in the VoIP network.
* Implement and troubleshoot on SIP Stack servers, including Asterisk, Kamilio, OpenSER
* Gather, analyze, and troubleshoot complex customer/network (VoIP and Mobility) sessions at the packet level, using tools such as Wireshark/ Shark Cascade, RiverBed packet analyzer
* Support network availability, perform installation, upgrade, and problem resolution.
* Implement network services to multiple locations throughout the US, Canada and Mexico.
* Create and maintain network and systems documentation including network diagrams and system administration processes and procedures.
* Develop and test disaster recovery processes and procedures for voice environment.
* Responsible for system tuning, administration, and monitoring of voice networks.
* Work with GTL Staff to solve production, corporate and customer voice network issues.
* Work with other Technology Team members, Development Teams, Product Engineering and Technical Support for any application development, network plans, implementations and changes on the network infrastructure.
* Participates in projects as needed.
* Manage call accounting system, develop and run reports as needed.
